Brody and Abby Loewen will be working in Thailand as part of a project called Isaan Doorways. Isaan Doorways is committed to the flourishing of the Isaan minority concentrated in Northeast Thailand. The Loewens will spend the first part of their assignment in language and culture learning, with time split between Det Udom and Bangkok. Their first term assignment will also include shadowing local and expat leaders while engaging in service opportunities such as teaching English, social enterprise, social welfare programs, and relief projects. These programs will be with underprivileged Thai populations, primarily in underserved rural areas.
